Apollo Save Tool for PS3
The original Apollo build (2020) turns a CFW or HEN-enabled PlayStation 3 into a complete save-game workstation: download, unlock, patch and re-sign saves, manage trophies and licences, and convert PS1/PS2 saves — all on the console, with no PC in the loop.

Requirements
Your PS3 must be able to install homebrew .pkg files — that means custom firmware (CFW) or PS3HEN enabled. Apollo then auto-detects your PSID, IDPS and Account ID, and supports multiple user accounts.
What Apollo Does on This Platform
- Save management: browse saves on USB and the internal HDD; SFO unlocking removes the copy-lock flag on “Copying Prohibited” saves; PFD re-signing lets you use saves made by other users and consoles.
- Cheat patches: applies Bruteforce Save Data and Game Genie cheat patches on-console — the workflows that used to require a Windows PC.
- Trophy management: re-sign trophy sets, export them to .zip/raw, import sets from USB backups, and unlock individual trophies.
- Account & licence backup: offline account activation (creates
act.datwith a fake Account ID), licence export to .zip/.rap, and licence import (.rap → generated .rif). - PS2 Classics: decrypt/export .VME memory cards, import .VM2 → .VME, convert PS2 .ISO to .BIN.ENC and back.
- Memory cards & conversion: PS1 and PS2 virtual memory cards, Dreamcast VMU images (v2.4.0), and conversion of PS1/PS2 saves to the PS3 .PSV format.
Advanced: if auto-detection picks the wrong IDs, an owners.xml file at /dev_hdd0/game/NP0APOLLO/USRDIR/ can override them for re-signing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Apollo PS3 work with HEN, or only CFW?
Both. Any PS3 that can install and run homebrew .pkg files — CFW or a HEN-enabled console — can run Apollo.
Can Apollo remove the copy-protection on a save?
Yes. The SFO unlocking feature removes the copy-lock flag so ‘Copying Prohibited’ saves can be transferred like normal saves.
What happened to Bruteforce Save Data?
Bruteforce Save Data is a Windows tool by aldostools whose patch format Apollo implements on-console. You can apply the same patches inside Apollo without the PC step. See our comparison.
Is Apollo free?
Yes. Apollo Save Tool is free and open-source under the GPL-3.0 licence, developed by bucanero.
