Apollo Save Tool for PSP

Yes — there is a native Apollo Save Tool for the PlayStation Portable. The PSP build manages PSP and PS1 save files directly on the handheld: rehash and fix PARAM.SFO ownership, apply cheat patches, and download saves from the Online Database, with no computer required.

Requirements

Your PSP must run custom firmware able to launch unsigned homebrew. Download the zip, extract it, and copy the APOLLO folder to ms0:/PSP/GAME/ on the Memory Stick. PSP save decryption needs per-game keys, which can be dumped with plugins such as SGKeyDumper or SGDeemer — Apollo’s own key-dumper tooling can help collect them.

What Apollo Does on This Platform

  • Save management: browse PSP saves, rehash and update PARAM.SFO (fix ownership when moving saves between consoles), decrypt/export and import saves.
  • Cheat patches: complete support for Save Wizard and Bruteforce Save Data cheat patches.
  • Online Database: download community PSP saves from inside the app — re-sign them with Apollo before use.
  • PS1 memory cards: manage PS1 virtual memory card images alongside your PSP saves.
  • Bulk FTP upload: send multiple saves to an FTP server in one operation (added in v2.3.2).

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the PSP build the same as using Apollo on a Vita?

They are separate builds of the same project. The Vita build can also manage PSP saves through Adrenaline; the PSP build runs natively on real PSP hardware.

Why won’t a PSP save decrypt?

PSP saves need a per-game encryption key. Dump the key for that game with SGKeyDumper/SGDeemer (or Apollo’s key tools) and Apollo can then decrypt, patch and re-sign the save.

Is Apollo free?

Yes. Apollo Save Tool is free and open-source under the GPL-3.0 licence, developed by bucanero.
