Apollo Save Tool for PS2

The quietest Apollo build runs directly on PlayStation 2 hardware: manage PS2 saves on memory cards and external devices, apply cheat patches, and work with PS2 and PS1 virtual memory cards. It is a standalone ELF homebrew — no computer required.

Requirements

Your PS2 needs a way to launch homebrew ELF files (for example a Free McBoot memory card or an equivalent launcher). Copy APOLLO.ELF to your boot device and run it. Note the PS2 build’s honest limits: the latest release is v1.0.2 from December 2024, and — unlike the other builds — it has no online database connection; it loads an offline save database from cdfs:/ or mass:/ instead (the release includes a sample-save-pack.zip to start with).

What Apollo Does on This Platform

  • Save management: browse PS2 saves on memory cards and external devices.
  • Cheat patches: applies Save Wizard and Bruteforce Save Data cheat patches on the console.
  • Import/export formats: export saves to .PSU / .PSV / .CBS; import .PSU / .PSV / .CBS / .MAX / .XPS / .SPS (v1.0.2 expanded VMC import formats).
  • Virtual memory cards: manage PS2 VMC images and PS1 memory cards.
  • Offline save database: load save packs from CD/DVD (cdfs:/) or USB (mass:/) — no network features.
