Requirements
Apollo Save Tool is developed by bucanero in the open, on GitHub. A repository named apollo-ps5 exists in his account — it was created in February 2025 — but as of October 2026 it has published zero releases: there is no .pkg to download, for any PS5 firmware. Any website selling or offering an “Apollo PS5” download is not offering a real bucanero product.
No Apollo documentation promises native PS5 save editing. Apollo’s save decryption targets the PS4 (and older) save formats, on those consoles.
What Apollo Does on This Platform
The One Legitimate PS5 Workflow
There is a real, documented path that involves a PS5 — but Apollo’s part of it happens on a PS4:
- On a jailbroken PS4, use Apollo PS4 to re-sign a PS4 save to your account (see the PS4 hub).
- Copy the re-signed, encrypted PS4 save to a USB drive.
- On the PS5, import it through the console’s own feature for PS4 saved data (Settings → Saved Data and Game/App Settings → Saved Data (PS4) → USB Drive).
This works only when the account IDs match and the individual game permits the transfer, and it is a community-documented workflow — not an official Apollo guarantee. It does not edit PS5 saves; it moves a PS4 save onto a PS5 as PS4 data.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will there ever be an Apollo for PS5?
Only the developer can say. The apollo-ps5 repository exists, which shows interest, but a repository is not a release. Until a release appears on the official GitHub, the correct answer is that no PS5 version exists.
A site offered me Apollo Save Tool PS5 .pkg — is it real?
No official PS5 .pkg exists. Treat any such offer as untrusted: it cannot be a genuine bucanero release.
Can Save Wizard edit PS5 saves instead?
Save Wizard is a PS4 save tool. Our comparison covers what it does — PS4 saves, on a PC, without a jailbreak.
