Apollo Save Tool for PS4
The PS4 build of Apollo Save Tool by bucanero is a standalone homebrew app that manages save-game files directly on a jailbroken PlayStation 4 — no computer required. Download, unlock, patch and re-sign saves, manage trophies, and back everything up, all from the console.

Requirements
Apollo is homebrew: your PS4 must be jailbroken (homebrew-enabled) to install and run the .pkg. Since v2.0.0 (December 2024), Apollo itself is firmware-agnostic and needs no GoldHEN or ps4debug payload for its save mounting — the jailbreak is the only prerequisite. There is no official firmware list for Apollo; whether a given firmware can be jailbroken is a separate question that changes over time. On first run, Apollo auto-detects your firmware, User ID and Account ID.
What Apollo Does on This Platform
- Save management: browse saves on USB and the internal HDD, update
param.sfoUser ID / Account ID, decrypt and export saves, and import decrypted saves from other consoles (re-signing). - Cheat patches: complete support for Save Wizard and Bruteforce Save Data cheat patches, applied on-console.
- Online Database: download community save files from inside the app — downloaded saves must be re-signed with Apollo before a game will load them.
- Trophy management: mount
trophy.img, export trophy sets to .zip/raw, and fake lock/unlock trophies (XMB only). - Account tools: offline account activation (fake Account IDs) and parental passcode recovery.
- Retro memory cards: manage PS1 and PS2 virtual memory cards, and — new in v2.4.0 — Dreamcast VMU images.
- FTP cloud backup: zip, upload and restore your save library to a user-defined FTP server.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need GoldHEN to use Apollo on PS4?
No — not for Apollo itself. Since v2.0.0, Apollo is firmware-agnostic and does not need a GoldHEN or ps4debug payload for save mounting. You do need a jailbroken PS4 to run any homebrew, and GoldHEN is one common way to get there.
Is there an Apollo version for PS5?
No downloadable PS5 version exists. Apollo edits PS4 saves; a PS4 save re-signed in Apollo can afterwards be imported by a PS5 as PS4 saved data through the PS5’s own system feature, if the account IDs match and the game allows it. See our PS5 status page.
Can Apollo open saves from newer firmware?
Apollo works on jailbroken consoles. Saves produced on firmware that cannot be jailbroken yet are handled by commercial PC tools such as Save Wizard instead — see our comparison.
Is Apollo free?
Yes. Apollo Save Tool is free and open-source under the GPL-3.0 licence, developed by bucanero.
