How to Install Apollo Save Tool on PS4 (v2.4.0)

Installing Apollo Save Tool on a PlayStation 4 takes about five minutes once your console is jailbroken. This guide covers the current release, v2.4.0 (October 17, 2026), using the official package from the developer’s GitHub.

What You Need

  • A jailbroken (homebrew-enabled) PS4. Apollo is homebrew; there is no way to install it on a stock console. Since v2.0.0, Apollo itself is firmware-agnostic and needs no GoldHEN or ps4debug payload for its own save mounting — the jailbreak is the only prerequisite.
  • A USB drive formatted to exFAT or FAT32.
  • The official package: IV0000-APOL00004_00-APOLLO0000000PS4.pkg (22,806,528 bytes).

Step 1: Download and Verify the Package

Get the package from our download page (official GitHub link) or the PS4 hub. Before installing, verify the file’s SHA-256 checksum:

ec34add4d2857fa3c947ed5666735a5c35ddb3e47d8be925b36e9ad408f7c090

If your checksum differs, delete the file and download it again from the official source — a mismatch means the file is corrupted or not the genuine release.

Step 2: Copy the PKG to USB

  1. Copy the .pkg file to the root of the USB drive (not inside a folder).
  2. Safely eject the drive and plug it into the PS4.

Step 3: Install with a Package Installer

  1. Run your jailbreak so the console is in its homebrew-enabled state.
  2. Open a package installer — for example Settings → GoldHEN → Package Installer if your setup uses GoldHEN, or the installer provided by your jailbreak environment.
  3. Select IV0000-APOL00004_00-APOLLO0000000PS4.pkg and confirm.
  4. Apollo appears on the home screen when installation finishes.

Step 4: First Run

On first launch, Apollo automatically detects and sets up your firmware, User ID and Account ID — no manual configuration is needed. From there you can browse the saves on your console and USB drives, or open the Online Database.

Troubleshooting

  • The installer doesn’t see the .pkg: make sure the file is in the USB root and the drive is exFAT/FAT32.
  • Installation fails or the app crashes with CE-34878-0: delete the app, re-download the package, verify the checksum, and reinstall. See Apollo PS4 PKG install failures.
  • Apollo opens but a save is missing: check the folder paths in Apollo not seeing USB saves.
